CC32 Prince Edward Station
(in collaboration with Systra)
Year: Under Construction
Region: SINGAPORE
The CC32 Prince Edward station is sited at the periphery of the Shenton Way Urban district. Located at the nexus of 3 distinctive culturally rich buildings (Hock Teck See temple, the Best Way Building formerly known as the Singapore Polytechnic and the Mosque), it occupies a historically rich site and is immediately adjacent to the expressway, bus terminal and skyscrapers along Shenton Way. Prince Edward station is a future interchange station and the longest amongst the 3 CCL6 stations. It has a three level underground station with 2 Entrances A & B that are located along Shenton Way and there are 3 vent shafts with one unsheltered bicycle parking area/lots adjacent to Vent Shaft 1. The main feature of the station is the cluster of ancillary areas/spaces at the centre of Concourse level that resembles the shape and look of the ship’s hull which is the design concept and consideration of this project.
